How To Pair Oculus Quest 2 To Your Phone. What To Do After Purchase?
You first need to register on FB, as you will need an FB account to work with Oculus Quest 2, not Oculus. I won’t describe the registration process (it’s easy there). Next, I’ll tell you how to pair oculus quest 2 to the phone. But I can add that ideally, you should enter your real data and a photo, as there is a chance that your new account may be mistaken for a bot and banned. Furthermore, in Oculus Privacy settings, you will be able to hide your real name and surname and show only your nickname to other players.
What’s more, many newbies who bought a helmet and created an account for it have been successfully banned by FB, so don’t mess with it. If you bought their helmet, be kind enough to follow their rules.
And also, you may want to buy something from Oculus later on (and you will want to buy Virtual Desktop at least), and you will need to link your card, and here again, it is good to have that information with your entered data on FB. And it will be easier to prove that you are a real person. I had an old ten-year-old account, and I even had fifty friends hanging there until the ban came.
If you already have an Oculus account – you can add an FB profile there. You can do it here, in the PC app, or on the Oculus site, in the settings section (bottom left).
Adding A FB Account To Oculus
This is where you need to understand that adding a FB account to Oculus is not binding. You will be offered to link them later, to be more exact, not to link them, but to completely switch to an FB account (no way to do that). I suggested that when I went to the Oculus site, you may pop up a sign in the application on your PC or when you log in to the site. In general, it is not to be missed.
Installing The Oculus App On Your Smartphone
Yes, for the initial setup of the helmet, you need the Oculus app, and then from it is convenient, for example, to watch the charge of the helmet and his library of games remotely.
Download here, do not look that there is a low rating. It’s people bombarded by the binding Oculus to Fb. Well, or search PlayMarket for “Oculus” yourself. It will be the first idea. After you install it, log into it either with your FB account or Oculus (if you already have one), and it will ask you to link them. In any case, in the end, you will be there through your FB account, and then you will log in through it. After that, the first thing you have to do is set the privacy.
Look for “Settings” in the bottom menu, then “Privacy Settings,” and there choose who will see your name from FB, the option “Only me”:
Vo, now no one knows what your real name is. Now the phone can be put away for a while.

How To Use Bluetooth Headphones With Meta Quest 2
I tried I tested Quest 2 with two different kinds of Bluetooth headphones. The Meta (formerly Oculus) Quest 2 deserves praise and speculation. There are many positive things to be stated regarding the device. Many people have a common complaint that the audio built into the headset isn’t enough.
In this post, I’ll explain that you should utilize Bluetooth headphones in conjunction with the Quest 2 to improve your overall VR audio experience, with other information to ensure you get the most out of your headset.
The simple answer is yes. You can connect Bluetooth headphones using Meta Quest 2. While the headset only can support 3.5mm and USB-C-compatible headphones, it is also possible to connect and pair to your Bluetooth headphones. The drawback is that you may experience some audio lag while playing VR games.
Let’s explore this issue more specifically. Note! I’ve written about my experience with Apple Airpods with Quest 2 in one of my earlier pieces. You are welcome to read it!
How To Pair Bluetooth Headphones With The Oculus Quest 2
The official version of it isn’t officially speaking, and the Quest 2 neither says to nor declares the ability to use the wireless Bluetooth headphones or similar audio connections. The Oculus (Meta) document for support only states the following regarding headphones’ compatibility with the Quest 2: “Quest 2 supports both 3.5mm headphones and USB-C headphones.”
It’s quite obvious that Meta (Facebook) prefers users to connect via an internet connection or rely on the built-in sound system. But this doesn’t mean your wireless experience can’t be achieved! Setting this up isn’t as difficult as you may think.
Follow these steps to connect Bluetooth headphones to your Quest 2:
- Switch up the Quest 2 headset.
- Open “Quick Settings.”
- Select”settings.” Click on the “Settings” button.
- Select “Devices.”
- Simply click on “Pair” in the Bluetooth menu section.
- Make sure you turn on and put your headphones into pairing mode.
- Select “Pair new device.”
- Select your audio device from the list, then click “Pair.”
In a flash, you’ve been linked directly to the Quest 2! It’s important to mention that since there’s no “official” method, not all wireless headphones can function in this manner because of compatibility issues. If you experience an issue, don’t be quick to conclude that you have an issue with your headphone!
As I researched to write the report, I noticed that players also complained about their stuttering during games.
However, this was not the case with my tests. I did not notice any unusual stutters during playing VRChat. However, it appeared to be the situation if Bluetooth headphones weren’t connected, and the glitching could be due to the avatars and custom worlds. I’m not sure I have any issues in terms of performance, and every game that I tested ran smoothly.
There weren’t any problems playing media programs like Netflix, Youtube VR, or Amazon Prime. Local files played with an audio player also worked perfectly. There’s nothing to worry about if you’re looking to play local files with your wireless headphones.
When it concerns VR games, you’ll most likely opt for the built-in audio in Quest 2 or use wired headphones. I’m sure you’ll find it more enjoyable that way.
What Else Can You Do?
If you’re keen and must use Bluetooth headphones on Your Quest 2, there’s a solution to get rid of the audio lag issue (I haven’t yet tried the issue myself).
For this method to function, you will need to buy the Creative BTW3 Bluetooth Audio Transmitter, which you will connect to your USB-C (charging) port on the Quest 2 headset.
After connecting it and connecting it to the dongle to the Bluetooth headphones, this will provide a low latency connection that allows for high-quality audio without lag through the headset to the headphones. Bluetooth headphones.
The process is very simple. However, should you be unsure or require a step-by-step guide, ensure you look at the video on YouTube below.
How To Turn On Oculus Air On The Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset
Oculus Air Link is one of the most important updates to a virtual reality headset. The feature is still in beta testing, but it will allow you to stream computer games wirelessly to your computer. Oculus Quest 2 glasses, and in this article, we’ll tell you what you need to do to enable the feature.
One of the things that bother virtual reality system users the most is that the connecting cables restrict movement, and in the past, we’ve even seen PCs in backpack form to somehow solve this problem. The ability to enable Oculus Air Link in Oculus Quest 2 means that from now on, you can play games like Half-Life: Alyx completely wirelessly (as long as you have it on your PC and it’s powerful enough to run the game, which we take for granted if you have a virtual reality system).
At this point, some fans of the virtual reality system on the PC will say that the excellent application Virtual Desktop has offered this feature for quite some time. However, some settings are still needed to make it work perfectly and gameplay. It can be considered good. Having a wireless solution integrated directly into your virtual reality system makes sense, and having multiple options to choose from is never a bad thing.
Note that this feature is still in beta testing at this writing, so it may not work as well as you might expect. However, below we’ll tell you what you have to do to enable it, and after that, you won’t have to do anything when they launch the final version, which should already work flawlessly.
As of this writing, the app version is v28, which Air Link already includes as an experimental feature on your system. You will need this version or a newer one to be able to use it since the previous features do not yet exist.
Install The Oculus App For PCs
Suppose you have an Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality system, but you haven’t connected it to your PC via Oculus Link to play virtual reality games on your PC. In that case, you may not have downloaded and installed the official app yet to make it work properly. So, the first thing you should do is logically download and install Oculus Link on your PC on your computer since this app will act as a conduit between your virtual reality system and your game collection.
Once you have downloaded and installed the app, you should connect the Oculus Quest 2 via USB 3.0 (the charging cable that comes standard with the device is enough, you don’t need a special cable, but you do need your computer to have a USB 3.0). Then open the app and follow the instructions to sync the device with your PC. If it doesn’t automatically detect your device when you open the app, first make sure it’s properly connected to your PC, then click “Devices” in the app to find it manually.
When you’re in the “Devices” section of the app, you’ll know if your device is properly connected because you’ll see that there’s a green circle with the “Connected” notification next to it.
So you already have the device connected and working on your PC, so we can move on to the next section, which involves turning on the Oculus Air to use it wirelessly.
In the Oculus Link app, go to the “Settings” section on the left, and then click the “Beta” tab at the top. You will see that you can activate the Air Link feature at the bottom.
You should take the next step to turn on your virtual reality device and make sure you have version v28 or higher installed (you can see this in Settings -> About). Suppose you don’t already have version v28 or higher. In that case, a message should appear informing you that there are updates available for the software, from where you can automatically update the app to the latest version available.
Once this is done, you should go into Settings -> Experimental Features, and you will see that there you have the option to re-activate Air Link (if you have just updated the software and it is not coming out, you may have to turn on Oculus Quest 2 off and on to appear or even completely reboot your computer).
After enabling the feature in this section, you need to do one more thing; Go to Settings -> Quick Actions -> Oculus Air link and follow the instructions to wirelessly connect your device to your PC. Once the setup wizard is complete, you can disconnect the cable and use the device wirelessly.
Once these steps have been completed, you can disconnect the cable from the Oculus Quest 2 to use it wirelessly over the 5 GHz wireless connection they have.
However, you should keep in mind that, as we explained at the beginning, this feature is in beta testing, and you may run into problems. This also means that the functionality is in constant development. They are working to fully integrate it into the software, so it is always advisable to check for updates to the app to see if they have implemented improvements to make it work better.
With Oculus Air, the company aims to provide a more fully immersive virtual reality experience, but remember that alternatives such as the virtual desktop are also available if you encounter problems that prevent you from doing the job, at least until they release a final version that works without problems and that you can use it constantly without fear of failure at some point.
